This public artwork has been placed on a vibrant blue background, to mirror the beauty of the foreshore. Like many pieces of public artwork, the work engenders a sense of place and community, reflecting its location and bringing interest and joy to the observer, whether they are parking in the carpark, walking the dog or jogging past.
It depicts seagulls, fisherman, local identities, sandcastle making, couples watching the sun set and children doing handstands.
