Overview
A heavy thunderstorm of several inches in a short time fell on this terraced area. The main drain from right to left has a 10 cm in 30 m grade and is noticeable by the movement of silt (light colour) in the trench. Contrast this with the side adjoining trench of 1 cm in 30 m has very little wash and has only a coating of silt.
