Overview

Varnished brown rectangular shape box with hinged lid. Lid has come off bottom at hinges. Nail on front side with which to fasten lid (clasp missing). Lid design of a Kangaroo Paw and daisy flower, also with a dark red border. Made at Roleystone school in manual arts class.

Historical information

Item was made in manual arts class at Roleystone School by Jack Hart, who donated the item. Jack Hart grew up on Urch Road, Roleystone and entered the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) and flew and taught others how to fly during WW2.
