Laying The Foundation Stone At St Oswald's Church
Light coloured stone suspended from a block and tackle being manoeuvred into place by man in dark clothes, watched by man in light coloured cloak and holding cross staff. Australian and USA flags flying above above clergy and formally dressed onlookers.
See Acc 02.77 for officiating clergy.Foundation stone was laid on 27th April 1924 by the Most Rev C.O.L Riley, archbishop of Perth. Clergy represented at event pictured in Acc.02.77 at 94 Shenton Road, Claremont. Devestated by a fire in 2004. After refurbishment, the new church was consecrated in June 2011.
