Inscriptions and markings

Below the painting and on the left hand side is an inscription hand written in black ink "This memorial was erected by Katanning Branch of W.A. Historical Society on the site of the first Police Camp in the Katanning district 1865-1870. Police Officers :- Trooper T. McKenna 1865-1867, Trooper W. M. Grover 1867-1870, Trooper E. Flaherty 1870, Hon. A. Thompson, MLC President, I. Synott, Secretary 1938."

Below the painting on the right hand side handwritten in black ink is "Katanning Police Pools"
