Overview

The black and white photograph shows two rows of girls with their coach, posed indoors. There are four girls standing in the back row. Four girls are seated with crossed ankles on chairs in the front row with the coach seated on the right. Two girls are kneeling on either side of the row. The captain is holding a basket ball. The S.S.S.A. Basketball Shield for 1960 is propped up at their feet. The team are dressed in gym slips of various shades, with a cord tied around the waist and black sandshoes with white socks. The coach is wearing a long sleeved white blouse, dark skirt and white sandals.
