On the right hand side of the picture are buildings on Austral Terrance and on the left hand side there is a pagoda. In the centre of the picture in the background is the Katanning railway station.

At the bottom left of the picture are the words in white writing "Railway Yard Katanning"
On the back of the postcard hand written at the top left of the postcard is "Lest we forget"
On the back of the postcard is printed in brown lettering "POST CARD" and then two columns with the words "ADDRESS ONLY" in the right most column. In the top right hand corner a square with the words "AFFIX STAMP" in the middle. This square marks the position to put a stamp.
On the left hand side is printed in brown lettering "Printed in Saxony".
