Australian Red Cross Day Lapel Pin
c. 1918Small round pressed metal disc with attached pin inscribed with Australian Red Cross Day. In the centre is a soldier’s head above a cross and circled by a wreath of leaves.
Dated post First World War, the lapel pin promoted the Red Cross association which was formed in 1914 to initially send care packages to the front.
