Bag from the Elizabethan Furnishing and Giftware store at shop 8 in the Tudor Arcade on Jull Street in Armadale. The bag belonger to Dorothy Casserly who did some shopping at the store in the 1980s or early 1990s.
The Tudor Arcade was opened in April 1981 with 12 specialty stores and the Tudor Rose Tavern. It was built on the site of the Railway Hotel which was partially demolished with the front part of the hotel renovated for retail and styled in the Tudor fashion. Some of the original stores included Armadale Home Decor, Elton;s Australia Pty Ltd (Giftstore), Armadale Travel Centre, Jetset Tours and Village Jeans.

It represents the many different businesses that have operated in the local area and how those businesses have evolved over time.
