Trivet - stand for flat irons
rectangular iron base, tapering to a point at one end. base has a design of a double cross i.e; St George & St Andrew, combined with a hole at top and bottom. theres one leg missing
Kenrick No 10 trivets are cast-iron stands made by Archibald Kenrick & sons a renowned English foundry established in 1791 in West Bromwich. Trivets were commonly used to set the hot flat irons on while ironing. Trivets were made roughly between 1900 & 1920.

Mrs. Rose Carpenter was the owner of this trivet, during her early days on the farm west of Ongerup W.A. on the Chester-pass road, possibly didn't have electric power so had to use flat irons all the time so needed this trivet.
