A wooden shield with nine small shield shaped metal plaques around the edge. In the centre at the top is a rectangular plaque, below this is a circular wreath with an enamel centre of black boots and a red football on a football ground, and belw this emblem is another rectangular plaque.

Inscriptions and markings

On the rectangular plaque above the centre emblem is "BEST CLUBPERSON 1997 CLUB EFFORT" and below this is "Donated by Byrne & Sons Shearing Service".

On the rectangular plaque below the centre emblem is "Plus All Other Helpers".

On the smaller shields from left to right, the following names are engraved "DAVID STEER', "JOHN AMATO", "JAMES BEATON", "RONALD COLES", "LADIES COMMITTEE", "STEVE COLES", MATHEW AMATO", "MARK STEER", "BRENTON STEWART".
