Studio portrait of 2879 Sergeant Clarence Oscar Power MM and Bar, 5 Field Ambulance AIF
2879 Clarence Oscar Power of Sydney NSW enlisted on 27 January 1915 and embarked from Sydney on HMAT Ceramic on 25 June 1915 with C Section, 5 Field Ambulance. (confirmed by diary entry). During the war he was twice awarded the Military Medal and promoted to Sergeant.

Annandale's Great War: A Short Walk
A self guided walk exploring the impact of WW1 on Annandale.
The scene is set in the preface which is based on stretcher bearer Clarence Oscar Power's diary. Power recorded a personal account of the passage to Europe, the evacuation of Gallipoli and then the war in Europe.
