c. 1980Digital scans, colour.
This building was the former office for Whiteman's Brick. The brickworks were located on Great Eastern Highway on the corner of Middle Swan Road (now Reid Highway) and the office was on the opposite side of the road backing onto the Middle Swan Oval (now Jack Mann Oval). Prior to serving as the brickwork office, the building is reported to have been a small shop in the early 1900s. From about 1940 to 1970 Lew Whiteman's friend Shylie Walker and her son Dennis Walker lived in the building which was demolished in 1980/81.
