First Brownie School at Kobeelya

The school started by Mrs Eleanor Burbidge known as the Brownies was the start of Koeelya College. The first classes were held at the Anglican Manse and as number grew the school moved to the Piesse home of Kobeelya.

On the front of the postcard handwritten in black ink is "The first Brownie Pack. Mrs Burbidge".
On the back of the postcard printed in black lettering is "POST CARD" and underneath this line are two columns with headings "CORRESPONDENCE" and "ADDRESS ONLY" and in the top right hand corner a square with the words "KODAK" at the top and bottom and the words 'AUSTRAL' on the sides. This square marks the position to put a stamp.
On the back of the postcard handwritten in blue ink is "The first Brownie School Mrs Burbidge mistress Presented by Mrs E. Pemble" and below this in black ink "1917-22".
On the back of the postcard stamped in purple ink is "F. MARTYN, KATANNING"
