Inscription ---'This Building was officially opened by Hon.H.H.Styants M.L.A. Minister of Railways *8th march 1956 The Barracks buildings were purchased by a business group including Mr Sims,sometime after they were closed by Wetrail They intended to convert it to a Backpackers Hostel .Quote for alterations was $170,000 . Buildings were vandalised ,kitchen burnt & descision was made in 2001 to demolish same .Materials were taken to Boyup Brook for using in community project .Barracks accommodateed raiway workers
