OCTAGON CHURCH, ALBANY C1870
c. 1870This is an early black-and-white photographic image of the original Octagonal Church in Albany, possibly taken during its school period. This north-facing Duke Street frontage image shows four children standing in front of the doorway to the building. In the foreground, on the left, two children are leaning against a post-and-rail fence. In the lower center image, an Australian Shepard is poised and on alert. Princess Royal Harbor can be made out in the background behind the building.
