Dance programme, Princess of Wool Ball 1961. White card with blue printing dance programme with slim blue pencil attached. Three folds with names of princess entrants and band players. The programm lists the Masterkeys Orchestra as: Ian Masters - Trumpet, John Graham - Piano, Bob Baxter- Drums, Colin Lovelady - Alto Sax Clarinet, Gary Roloffs - Trombone, John Bartlett - Bass. The Dance Band contest winners 1960 Bob Baxter winning drummer in same contest. The Wool Princesses listed were: Catherine Frances Wilkie, Penelope Fowler, Margaret Joyce Thompson, Marietta Dean Krieg, Marlene Lynne Stokes, Norma Helen French, Pamela Noeleen June West, Meg Ladyman, Christina Josephine Magee, Lorraine Alice Pollard, Aileen Veronica Kerrigan, Jean Elizabeth Blechynden, Diana Wright, Gwenda Joan Temby, Lorraine Gmeiner, Nourine Joan Dennis, Elaine Helen Wilkins, Pixie Beverley Wylie. Item b is the blue pencil, marks on pencil are 1250 'Little John' made by Columbia P & C Co in Australia

Historical information

The Jumbuck Jamboree was a large wool promotion event in Katanning in 1961. The Wool Princess Ball was part of the event.
