UWA Oral Histories

Historical information

Oral Histories are the recorded memories of people’s unique life experiences. An oral history preserves the voice, accent and vocabulary of the individual, often in the form of a professional interview. Through these recordings, the past comes alive.

We invite you to hear the many voices of UWA’s oral history.

The University Archives is continuing the process of transferring oral histories from the UWAHS Oral History Portal to UWA Collected. We are also working to upload new oral histories created by the UWAHS as resourcing allows as well as to build links between items in the Oral Histories collections and other items available in UWA Collected.
