ESTATE PLAN (DIGITAL): DARLING VIEW ESTATE, SUBIACO HEIGHTS (JOLIMONT)

c. 1913
Overview

Coloured plan of the estate lots for Darling View Estate, Subiaco Heights (Jolimont)
Plan shows the estate with the distance to Perth Town Hall and Ocean Beach as weill as the location of the Perth Rialway Station and the tramlines.

Historical information

First advertised in 1913 by Connor, Doherty and Durack land agents it was reported that the last of the lots were sold by 1919.
Messrs. Connor, Doherty, and Durack, Ltd., report that only a few unsold blocks remain on the Darling View Estate, situated on the Subiaco Heights. The estate is happily placed. Comparatively close to the ocean beach, and yet within handy distance of the city, the blocks have been readily bought up for building purposes. An extension of the tramway system to serve this new area is forecasted, and it is expected that the remaining allotments will soon be secured. They are being sold on terms, with a deposit of 10 per cent., the balance payable by instalments spread over 18 months free of interest.
