This team is recognised as the first men's team to win a pennant for MGGC.

Although the caption above the photograph states 'the first winning pennant team', item 2022.23 depicts a photograph of the first women's winning pennant team two years earlier in 1971.
The second attachment is the same image but scanned from another print of the same photograph. This image appears to have been corrected and shows the people in a clearer and more vivid colour.
The third attachment is also the same image but scanned at a higher resolution, but poorer quality, possibly due to the glass cover of the frame in place at the time of the scan.

This picture was mounted in a frame and hung in the clubhouse lounge for many years until removed in 2021.
