Chamber of Mines Shield
Valued at 100 pounds in 1905 with cash prizes of 18 pounds being first 12, second 6 and third 3. Teams of 6 firing 7 shots plus 2 optional sighters each at 200,500 and 600yds. Initially shot on last day of the annual August prize meeting.
In 1906 teams competing were, in. order of results, WAIR Perth Police RC, Coolgardie RC, Kalgoorlie No. 1, Boulder No 2, Mulline RC, Fremantle RC, Perth RC, Menzies, Midland Junction, Kalgoorlie No 3, Boulder No. 1
In 1912 Coolgardie, Boulder, Fremantle, Menzies, Wagin, Kalgoorlie, Perth (two teams), Ora Banda and Layall’s Mill RC competed. Yet to be discovered the reason for the 1913 gap (competition took nominations for the 1914 match that was abandoned due to WW1)
