Overview

White cloth with wool fabric embroidery of black swan, CWA crest and kangaroo paw. Embroidered with old State Banner pre 1990.

Historical information

In 1989 it was decided the old and much loved State Banner needed to be replaced. It was agreed to hold a competition for a new design. Specifications were very detailed as to size while the design had to include the words of the official Association badge, the name of the State AND it had to be suitable for production on a wool fabric.
