Radio - electric, mantel model, batyphone, wood case.

Historical information

Batyphone radios were made by M. J. Bateman, one of the original companies in W.A. who assembled radios. 6WF - Westralian Farmers. Used by Cornelius Victor Newton and family to listen to 12 o'clock news everday on family farm at west Ballidu. This was the only entertainment, radio, for many years until lack and white TV was available.
