Inscriptions and markings

The inscription on the scroll in black typed lettering reads 'This scroll commemorates' then in red typed lettering 'Flight Sergeant W. J. Rogers Royal Australian Air Force' and then in black typed lettering'held in honour as one who served King and Country in the world war of 1939-1945 and gave his life to save mankind from tyranny. May his sacrifice help to bring the peace and freedom for which he died'

On the back of the framed scroll is 'Framed by Andrew Roche 3 Aherns Arcade Hay St. Perth.'
