Nurse Fanny Alice Quartermaine
c. 1920 - 1930A sepia photograph of an elderly well dressed woman sitting in a cane chair. The woman is Nurse Fanny Alice Quartermaine and her white hair is pulled back in a bun and she is wearing a necklace, a white blouse, dark cardigan and mid calf length skirt and dark sandals.
The woman is Fanny Alice Andrews who was born in 1865, married Frederick Quartermaine in 1883 and died in 1937. Fanny was a pioneer nurse of the Katanning District, Midwife No. 30. Fanny nursed at Brockhurst hospital and also at Pinwarying.
