Medal - 80th Anniversary Armistice Remembrance Medal
The 80th Anniversary Armistice Remembrance Medal is 36 mm in diameter, and struck in silver. The obverse depicts a digger in the uniform of World War 1 encircled by the medal name. The reverse contains the motto "Lest We Forget". The medal is directly fastened to a plain suspension bar by a representation of the Tudor (King's) crown. The 32mm black ribbon contains two broad red bands in recognition of the Flanders poppy..
The medal was instituted i0n January 27, 1999 and was awarded : "To all veterans of the First world war who were still alive on 11 November 1998, the 80th anniversary of the Armistice".

The medal is named, pantograph style on the rim with the veteran's full name.
