Overview

The original black and white image is a copy of a larger photograph featuring the Subiaco firemen in 1908. The photograph features four firemen seated in their vehicle. They are wearing uniforms and helmets outside the fire station in Rokeby Road. Information on the back reads: 'Paddy the horse played a dual role in pulling the firemen's cart and the ambulance if necessary. It was not uncommon for the firemen to run between the shafts when Paddy was on ambulance duty.'
