Denmark Historical Society Inc

The Denmark Historical Society Inc is an active body, promoting the history of the Denmark Shire and surrounds. We meet monthly, maintain and open (3 days a week) a small museum, give talks, produce a quarterly magazine, produce historical article for the local paper and have published many books on local history. The society has more than 170 members with about 25 active volunteers. We have no paid staff. We have an extensive collection of photographs (most digitised) and a moderate collection of local historical artefacts which are displayed in the museum. We actively advocate for the preservation of local historical sites.
