The Bella Trilogy Worn Art Revamped 2014 2016 & 2018

About This Collection

The Bella Trilogy was inspired by local Broome stories with the use of costume elements that utilized the human form as a canvas bringing artwork to the stage. The Bella Trilogy is based on a newly formatted theatrical showcase that engages set characters, voice-overs and projection. This ensures the storyline is easily followed and thus allowing the audience to fully engage with the Vaudeville-style slapstick comedy, amazing costumes, incredible circus acts and professional dance sequences. There is new Show writer and director Lesley Marsh. at the helm, mentored by the talented Gwen Knox. A new interpretation of Broome’s history comes to life in a vibrant, new perspective not seen before.
This trilogy is based in Shiba Lane the red light district of old Broome [1905] where the main character Bella lived and worked. She acquired a pearl that had been lost 3 times linked with 2 mysterious deaths then thought to be lost forever after the demise of Bella in a den of ill-repute. This is a tale inspired by the local story ‘Tragic Pearl’ by W.C. Charnley.
