Tony Jones, creator of the famous Eliza sculpture at Matilda Bay, dropped by to make use of our pop up recording booth at The Grove Community History Library. He spent an enjoyable hour viewing images of Mosman Park and recalling memories from his childhood. Tony's house was high on the cliff overlooking the Swan River and at night he tells of hearing the lions roaring at the Zoo. He also took a trip over to Garden Island with his mates in a little self made canoe. The boys got caught in a storm but made it back home to the wrath of an anxious mother!

Tony also bought along a few images of his childhood for us to copy and add to the collection. In return we created this little video of his session for him to treasure and share with his loved ones.

If you would like us to create something like this for you then simply drop by or email history@thegrovelibrary.com to make an appointment. Its an easy process and lots of fun.
