CWA of WA History Timeline
CWA of WA
The year 2012 was Australian Year of the Farmer; and for CWA of WA, this was a year-long promotional opportunity from the very roots of our Association. CWA hosted a road-show in regional areas to showcase the Association and hear the needs of rural families. CWA also ran stories of female farmers, recognising the unique challenges for a farmer on rural land, remote land, and even a farmer of the sea.
Members rallied on the steps of Parliament House in 2018 to overturn the closure of regional student accommodation hostels and camp-schools. This loud and energetic event resulted in the successful reinstatement of some hostels, including Moora Residential College, that still exist today.

Australia celebrated Year of the Farmer in 2012, which ignited new interest for the CWA of WA.

CWA rallied at Parliament House in 2018, in possibly the most public display of historical support for rural education.
