Oral History of Kelly Duffield recorded by Pam Wales

Historical information

Kelly Duffield was born in 1937 and grew up on a farm on Quindanning Road north of Darkan. The block was originally settled by his father, who built a number of homes for the family on the family farm.

Kelly talks about his early years on the farm and how he worked around the neighbourhood to earn enough money to purchase his own farm. He compares his childhood years with the childhood his own children had and the free and uninhibited lifestyle they all have had.
