Mrs Parker describes her arrival to Western Australia and meeting her husband George and moving to Wongan Hills in 1947. They moved to Thornlie in 1960 with their family. She describes Thornlie and the community at the time.Mrs Parker describes how she and George became involved with the Thornlie Bowling Club and the fundraising activities they participated in. She talks about how she taught her son to ride a motor bike when they distributed leaflets calling for new members for the club. She was also the unofficial secretary of the club when her husband was the club President. She describes the opening of the greens and her experiences at the Club. Mrs Parker describes social events organised by the Bowling Club members. She describes the ladies pennants competition and other recollections
