A label beneath the photograph in album reads:
'The early history of the school is recalled by the Principal Mr G. Lanham to the schools youngest pupil Adam Hall and a 1905 pupil Miss Anna Englund.
The year 1980 marks a milestone in the history of Jolimont Primary School. Seventy five years ago on October 9th, 1905, the school was officially opened.
Only fifteen children were present in that first year and in its first ten years of operation, the school's population reached a maximum of just over 100 pupils. Jolimont in 1980 has a school populations of 185 students.'
