H CLASS WAGON
H class wagon - steel floor, wooden sides, shallow. Rolling stock
Used to carry machinery etc which needed more protection than flat tops provided. When old, H class wagons were used to carry ash, (called ash wagon) when cleaning out steam engines. Also used by Midland Brick to transport bricks. Has steel plate on end board, letters PRO date of oil check recorded here.
