858 Private Francis Albert Blythe was one of three brothers from Bunbury. He enlisted in August 1914. And embarked as a member of H Company, 11 Battalion from Fremantle on HMMAT Ascanius on 2 November 1914. He died of wounds at Pozieres France on 30 July 1916.
Brothers: 863 Pte Drummond James BLYTHE, 11th Bn, died of wounds, Gallipoli, 6 June 1915; 3457 Sergeant (subsequently Lieutenant) BLYTHE, MM, returned to Australia.
