A colour photograph showing two women dressed for the West Australian sesquicentennial celebrations which took place in 1979. The woman on the left is wearing a white bonnet with a black ribbon and a white shawl. The shorter woman on the right is wearing a pink bonnet with a pink long sleeve shirt and an ankle length brown shirt.

Historical information

Way 1979 Activity. In order to identify the local Church with the celebrations for the 150th Anniversary of WA (Way 1979) the Ladies of the Guild and the Social Club combined to present a morning tea and exhibition in the Church Hall and grounds on Wednesday 4th April . Exhibition provided items of family photos, needlework, glassware and household effects, many dating from turn of the century or earlier. Women dressed in fashions of yesteryear.
Photographs removed from original non archival album April 2005. Renumbered in 2024 to give each photograph a unique number.
