1990Surveyors Report on WISALTS Conservation System created by GF (Gavin) Drew.
Comments: The marked banks are level 1 push absorption banks in deep sand. The banks do not require a lot of capacity but should be as deep as possible with one push. The banks are spaced at 6 metre drops in the vertical. The second stage of the plan will comprise mainly sealed level banks with care to cut off water in stony ridges. A possible small dam to hold runoff from breakaway is envisaged. Area was cleared in 1980 and deterioration is not advanced very far. Medium to heavy soil in balance. Farmer is to mark staggered passes.
