Black & White photograph of St Vincent's Private Hospital, York Xmas 1909. The hospital is a two storey building with a verander that extents out from the bottom storey. Across the front of the building covering the verander posts and fence is a large vine. A bed can be seen behind the railing of the upstairs verander. Standing in front of the building are two nurses, both with their hands behind them, in uniform and a clergyman. There are two copies of this photograph with two different messages written on the back of each of them. The first message reads: To dear Miss Minnie Kelly with love and very best wishes for a merry Xmas and prosperous new year from Sister and Mary O'Connor. The second message reads: to dear Miss Kathy Kelly with love and good wishes for a happy Christmas and bright New Year from Mother and Mary.
