1938Pre-War regular army 6 Heavy Battery personnel in a "Cart, Officers Mess" photographed in 1937. Used to collect rations from the Rottnest village. The Battery was issued with its first motor vehicle in 1938, a Bedford utility. The horse, who became a Rottnest icon was named "Coffin Head" because of its large square head.
