Overview

Static water sitting on the impervious layer of soil. Notice the B Horizon soil which has the salt crust showing. This is the result of moisture drifting down slope picking up stored salts. The WISALTS system should be applied to the upper slopes to control the lateral movement of water to the valley floor.
