Posed photograph of Christian Endeavour choir at 23rd National Convention Perth 1949 'Marching with Christ'. Women are grouped centrally, men are grouped on either side and at the back. Men are wearing suits, many of the women are wearing short capes in various colours. Lines of women are grouped according to colour of cape.
Written in blue ink on reverse: 'Perth 1949 C.E. Convention Choir. (Ted is not in this one).'
From the biennial National Christian Endeavour Convention at Perth, in August 1949. Between 250 and 300 representatives from the Eastern States attended. West Australian participants brought the total Convention registrations up to about 2300.
The Convention theme was “Marching with Christ”. There were various speakers at evening gatherings, and in the daytime conferences. The principal guest speaker was Rev. Alan Walker.
