BED WARMER: BRASS AND WOOD BED WARMER
Brass and wood bed warmer. Handle is black painted wood that has been turned (lathed) at the top, one third of the way down and then at the base. It inserts into the metal pan at the base. The metal pan is round in shape, it has a hinged lid that lifts up with a small ring pull. The lid has puncture holes all of the way around to let steam and heat out.
Inside there are three bolts fastening the pan to the handle.
This item was owned by Winnie Smyth (Donors grandmother). Wine was born in England (unknown) and died in 1989. He daughter was Edna Fyre nee Smyth (Born 1930 Perth)

Item was used to warm the bed of the owner who lived in Wembley and Subiaco in the 1930s
