Historical information

This novel, "Adventures on the High Mountains" by Richard Stead was presented as a prize to Clarence William Clinch (1893-1909). He was the son of Arthur Clinch and Edith (nee Waldeck). He attended Scotch College, Claremont, but on returning to Greenough for the summer holidays, caught diphtheria and died on 29/01/1909.
The book was kept by his brother Frederick who later passed it onto to his grand-daughter Robyn Clinch.
