Overview

Coloured image of a brick church with a tiled roof. There is a street tree on the verge in the foreground and low brick wall at the edge of the property. There is a large black cross on the tower at the front of the church and a niche with a white statue of the Virgin Mary in the middle of the front facade of the building.

There is another building on the right with a red tiled roof and the side of this building is visible.

Statement of significance

From a collection of digital images taken by Elizabeth (Liz) Anderson of houses, streets and events in Subiaco between 1996 and 1998.

The place has historic significance representing the role of the Catholic Church in the developing residential area. It has aesthetic significance for its general design quality as an example of ecclesiastical architecture, and as a recognised landmark. It has social significance to the members of its congregation for religious and social reasons.
