Contextual Information

The 1948 Australian team was the first post war team to be sent to England. WA members RG Gratte and M Menghini were pre War State representatives. PA (Percy) Pavey from Victoria was considered Australia's finest marksman having had success at Kings prize meetings throughout Australia.
