Rudolf Werther Collection
Historical information
This collection contains the original music scores and compositions of Dr Rudolf T Werther that he bequeathed to the UWA School of Music in his will dated 1975. Werther’s output of songs is based on poems by English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Russian poets, he also composed choral and piano works. The collection donated by Werther also includes his personal correspondence, ephemera and memorabilia such as photographs, scrapbooks, and programs that he collated when he was living in Tasmania, Queensland and Western Australia including from his time working as Cultural Director of the Cottesloe Civic Centre.
