1986Surveyors Report on WISALTS Conservation System created by WA (Alec) Martin.
Comments: Visit Tuesday 15th July 1986. Site 1. Dam bank breached - poorly constructed walls. Suggest overload be revised using pipes. Block banks on dam lines and above. Site 2. Full dam - small leaks in banks. Extend higher line to cover erosion and waterlogged area. Site 3. South west block. Establish blocks in top line to below soil surface level to overload into pink soil on western end. Line on fence line - leak in stony material. Suggest remove stone and seal with soil - check overloads. New dam. Check water level when full - should backfill banks - if within 1 metre of top of rear bank - establish siphon using poly pipe to lower banks or creek. If bank backfills satisfactorily - overload on north end in stony soil.
