Mary became Mrs Gus Roe. Cora became Mrs Broadhurst. Lilly never married.
The ladies wear long black frocks with full skirts that feature bustles and tight bodices. Cora rests her hat on her knee and Mary's is on the top of the stone structure that she leans against. Lilly's parasol rests against her legs. The three sisters wear their hair in buns on top of their heads.
Reverse: Handwritten note: 'The Newman Sisters. Standing Mary (Mrs Gus Roe), Left Cora (Mrs Broadhurst), Right Lilly - did not marry.'
