Historical information

Part of a study undertaken by KA Adam and Associates architecture firm and the City of Subiaco in 1988 on the main streets of Subiaco, including Rokeby Road and Hay Street.

The Regal Theatre, located at 474 Hay Street, was constructed from 1936 to 1937. The Regal was placed on the State's heritage list of buildings in 1994. It is listed with the National Trust and is registered with the Australian Heritage Commission.
